UK FUNDRAISING PROJECT 2010

Summer 2010 cycle run from Santander (Spain) to Marrakech (Morocco) departing 02/06/2010

Details:
Santander in the north of Spain, through the Picos de Europa and Potes at around 1200 feet, up and over to Boca de Huergano at 4,000 feet above sea level. It is then through west Castilla y Leon, Extremadura and down to Andalusia and Gibraltar, utilizing the old Catholic Pilgrims route. This section of the route is 1,068 kilometres +/-

Now things get well interesting. After a boat ride across to Ceuta (Morocco) it is down to Tetuan, Chefchaouen, down the N13 and east at Ouazzane, through to Fes, which passes Barrage El Whada. This tags on another 400 kms. The idea then is to take the N8 south to Marrakech, weather permitting, as Fes has some very interesting spots to enjoy, including thermal baths - ohhhhhhhh. And an interesting ride directly south into the lower Atlas mountains and a few date trees.
